James: How To Deal With Idiotic Teachers
Author’s Note
Note to the reader: I wrote this right after the class where the idiot made a scene. I wrote it on my smart phone so forgive my horrible misspellings or grammar that I haven’t been able to correct. I will try to catch everything though.
Inevitable Idiots
Alright, so basically there are going to be people that you come across in life that are complete morons when it comes to common sense. Or even worse you could end up like me and get a TEACHER that doesn’t know what the F they’re doing most of the time. So what can you do?
Solution 1
First off many students will simply skip class and just read the book, get notes online, or get notes from a classmate. This is a good method if that specific instructor doesn’t take attendance. But it should be noted that all instructors take a “mental attendance” and if your grade is teeter-tottering between a B and an A at the end of the semester they will look at your name and say, “who the hell is that?” and you’re most likely going to be stuck with a B.So always keep that in mind when you decide to skip classes.
Solution 2
Another great option is to sit in class and ignore the professor. This takes some getting used to, but when you master the art of faking to pay attention you get the best of both worlds. So just sit in class and take notes from the textbook. It will be a better way to really learn the material when compared to simply listening to some ignorant teacher lecture on and on.
Everybody’s Different
But the real lesson to be learned is that everybody learns differently. Some people learn visually, others by listening, others by doing it themselves, others by whatever they want. Point is, find your type of learning and stick with it. You’ll probably find yourself spending less time studying yet getting the same or better grades. (OLA makes no guarantees on that statement, but it should generally help you get through a bad teacher.)
